Ski area restaurants focusing on scallops menus

At the West Mt. base Horn cafeteria, a classic ramen with scallops called “Hokkaido Scallop Salt Ramen (1,500 JPY)” is available. The firm texture and sweetness of the scallops, combined with the scent of seaweed, complement well with the clear salt-flavored soup. When it comes to Hokkaido salt ramen, think of Hakodate. Please enjoy a bowl that allows you to feel Hakodate’s flavor while being in Rusutsu, which is full of the flavor of scallops.

A hidden spot “Isola 2000”

At the base station of Mt. Izola, near the Izola Gondola boarding area, you’ll find “Izola 2000”, which also has the K-Lounge. Since you can take the gondola to the summit of Mt. Izola, it’s a recommended spot for those who prefer to avoid the crowds at Steamboat. A straightforward and hearty “Hokkaido Scallop Bowl (2,000 JPY)” is newly introduced here. This year, please enjoy scallops on the slopes as well and support the producers.

At ‘Steamboat,’ where creamy melting omelette with rice is popular, please try the new menu “Hokkaido Scallop Creamy White Sauce omelet rice (2,000 JPY)”. It features Hokkaido scallops served with creamy white sauce. The rich flavor of scallops pairs exceptionally well with the creamy sauce. Enjoy this melting omelette with rice in a rich taste that you can only savor for a limited period.
