Rusutsu Resort has been awarded “Japan’s Best Ski Resort 2025” at the prestigious World Ski Awards 2025, the most prestigious award in the global ski tourism industry. This marks Rusutsu Resort’s sixth win, following awards in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2024, making it the first ski resort in Japan to achieve this honour six times.

The World Ski Awards (headquartered in London, UK) is part of the “World Travel Awards,” which is often referred to as the Oscars of the travel industry and is one of the highest honours in the world of ski tourism. Awards are given in various categories to ski resorts, hotels, and travel agencies worldwide.

Following the announcement of nominees on 23/06/2025(Mon), voting was open until 10/10/2025(Fri). Votes were cast online by ski industry professionals, including media and travel agencies, as well as by the general public. Thanks to this support, Rusutsu Resort earned the top honour in its category.
