This year, the cherry blossom front(the advance of the cherry blossoms across Japan) seems to be moving north the fastest since records began. Last year, the cherry blossoms at Rusutsu Resort bloomed on May 7, 2022, and at this year speed, the cherry blossoms may be in full bloom by Golden Week(a week from 29 April to early May containing multiple holidays). Here are some cherry blossom viewing spots in Rusutsu Resort.

In front of Space Shot (amusement park)

The amusement park is full of flowers! The No. 1 spot to take a typical Rusutsu photo is in front of Space Shot. The Westin Rusutsu Resort can be included to create a blue sky backdrop. If you include the space shot and Loop the Loop, you can take a picture of the amusement park and flowers.

Country Train (Amusement Park)

The country train goes around the park as if passing through a tunnel of cherry blossoms. Since the cherry trees are tall, it is not possible to actually go through the tunnel, but you may be able to get a shot that looks like a tunnel of cherry blossoms depending on the composition, so give it a try.

Tower Golf Course

The Tower Course, directly connected to The Westin Rusutsu Resort hotel, also has rows of cherry trees along the course. They bloom at the same time as the fresh green of white birch and larch, and are very beautiful. Depending on the direction, you can even view them from your room.

Izumikawa Golf Course

Cherry blossoms on the Izumikawa Course bloom quietly from mid to late May, when the golf course is less crowded with visitors after Golden Week. While you play, you can also see the magnificent view of the Westin Resort Hotel and the West Mountain in the distance from the course.
