Yotei Panorama Terrace

Terrace on the summit of West Mt., commanding a superb panoramic view of Mt. Yotei and Lake Toya.

Hugely popular rafting activity designed for families. Enjoy slowly floating down Shiribetsu River in a rubber raft. This activity is designed for anyone from small children to seniors to enjoy at leisure, drifting down the beautiful river with sunshine filtering through the foliage.

Gaze across the vast land of Hokkaido sprawling below from a hot-air balloon, floating effortlessly 30m above the ground.

Fishing Starter

Guests will be guided to a crystal-clear stream, which is home to char, yamame trout and rainbow trout. Beginners will learn basic techniques for fishing with bait, while serious fishers will be catered for with the chance to fly-fish for large rainbow trout in the nearby fishing pond.

Sheep Land

This scenic area is surrounded by cute animals and nature. Sheep and ponies enjoy a relaxed tranquil life. This is a relaxing spot where you can take a walk and see the animals.

Waffle Ice Cream-making

Make some ice-cream and waffles using fresh, tasty milk from Hokkaido. This activity offers the perfect stage for demonstrating teamwork with your group or family. Top off your dessert with cookies, strawberries and chocolate syrup for an Instagrammable finish.

Jam & Crepe-making

In this activity, you’ll have the chance to make your own jam using local ingredients in season, such as strawberries for the spring, plums and grapes for the summer and apples for the autumn. You can also try making crepes and savor them with fresh-made jam. The jam can be bottled and taken home as a souvenir.

Wooden Nameplate-making

Draw names and pictures on a wood plate using twigs, acorns and corks that vary individually by color, shape, pattern, etc., and let each of these unique natural features shine through your arts and crafts.

Leaf Prints

You’ll be picking up leaves that catch your fancy around the resort grounds and using them to paint T-shirts and placemats – there are countless possible designs. We supply T-shirts in multiple sizes, so both children and adults are welcome to join and take home their original tees.

Outdoor Cord Craft

Combine an outdoor recreation cord in your favorite color and other parts you like to make your own jewelry and accessories such as bracelets and key chains. The completed arts and crafts will be strong enough for outdoor recreation and travel, and the creative process of making them will engross children and adults alike.

Wool Felt Art

Using felt as the base, thread a special needle with wool in colors you like to create a picture that captures a memorable moment from your trip – or any other image you want. The white wool is sourced from Rusutsu Farm.

Candle Craft

Melt wax and create your own candle by placing small chunks of wax varying in color and shape (hearts, stars, etc.) into a candle mold. Take home your own colorful and eye-catching candle and incorporate it in your interior design scheme.

Bouldering School

Even if you have no experience, there’s no need to worry. Our friendly instructors are ready to teach you all the rules and techniques to climb.

Table Tennis

Play table tennis at Rusutsu Arena. Bats, balls and tables are available for rent on a 30-minute basis.

Rusutsu Resort Nursery School

When you’re out skiing, golfing, doing activities, or have other things to do, you can leave your child at the nursery school on a per-hour basis. Our childcare specialists will take good care of your child in the bright space adorned with large windows.

Indoor Wave Pool

Safely out of the weather and open until 22:00 daily, the indoor heated pool is yours to enjoy all year round. The wave pool is shallow near the front and gets deeper as you head toward the back. And the hugely popular aqua coaster is sure to create some exciting memories! The facility is free for overnight guests to use.

Rusutsu Onsen – Kotobuki

Beautifying hot spring with a panoramic view of the mountains and myriad stars. Feel the bounty of nature with your body and mind. The bathing area has chairs for kids and spacious washing areas that parents and children can use together.

Two-story merry-go-round (carousel)

One of the world’s biggest indoor carousels, this two-story merry-go-round is a landmark of Rusutsu Resort.

Game world

Bustling with claw machines, nostalgic Whack-A-Mole and many other game machines, this indoor facility is a great place for a rainy day or just to spend some spare time.

Baby food

Our restaurants do not provide baby food. You can bring baby food and hotel staff can warm it up with a microwave or hot water. Also, you can buy baby food at some of the shops inside the hotels.

Kid’s menu

In addition to the buffet, the restaurant offers a children’s course and children’s kaiseki menu for dinner. Children’s dinner vouchers are available for this service. The Westin Rusutsu Resort offers an Eat Well kids’ menu for lunch at the atrium on the 1st floor.

Children’s chairs, spoons and forks

Children’s chairs, spoons and forks are available at all restaurants. Children’s plates are also available at the buffet restaurant. Please feel free to ask our staff for requests.

The restaurant is food allergy friendly.

At the buffet restaurant “Oktoberfest” on the 1st floor of the North Wing of Rusutsu Resort Hotel, allergens are displayed on labels. At Atrium on the 1st floor of The Westin Rusutsu Resort, if you inform us of any food allergy requirements, our cooking staff will prepare a suitable meal. Furthermore, at other restaurants, if you inform us of any food allergy requirements by 1 week before the date of your stay, our specialist dietician will ensure a suitable meal is prepared.

Bed sharing

At Rusutsu Resort Hotel & Convention, if a 0-5 year old child sleeps with the parents in the same bed, your child can stay for free of charge. A child 6-12 years old and above are subject to the accommodation fee.
At The Westin Rusutsu Resort, if a 0-12 year old child sleeps with parents in the same bed, your child can stay for free of charge. Children 13 years old and older are subject to the accommodation fee.
*Please note that in cases where your child is not subject to accommodation fees, he/she is still subject to fees for dining at restaurants, the entrance fee to the Amusement Park, gondola lift ticket fees, and fees for leisure activities such as golf and activities.
