Studies have shown that even a 20-minute walk can improve mental health. Ru Nonno is a circular walk of about 1.5 km, which takes about 20 minutes on foot. A walk surrounded by seasonal flowers is perfect for relaxing the body and mind.
May : Spring flowers such as cherry blossoms, tulips, daffodils and hyacinths fill the resort with colour.
June : Chemandra, vine roses, salvia and a paint-themed flower bed is created on the resort lawns.
July : As summer arrives, colourful flowers are in full bloom and lavender, Hokkaido’s most famous flower, emits a soothing fragrance which will help relax resort guests.
August : Sunflowers bathed in sunshine, some 35,000 plants and Western hydrangeas and Annabelle, which are well suited to the Rusutsu climate, are in full bloom throughout the resort.
Annabelle flowers have a long flowering period of two months and the flower colour changes from lime green to white to green to autumn colour.
September & October : The peak of the colourful garden season arrives. This is the season of cosmos and sweet peas, as well as the autumn colours of the trees and the daily changes in colour.
