Crops at Rusutsu Farm
Here, we grow about 40 kinds of fruit and vegetables, mainly Western vegetables. Harvested vegetables are used in dishes served at the resort’s restaurants and sold at Michi-no-Eki 230 Rusutsu. Above all, we focusing on cultivating a bright red fruit called aronia. Aronia belongs to the Rosaceae family native to eastern North America, and is believed to contain approximately 3 times more anthocyanin as blueberries. Paying attention to its antioxidative potency, Rusutsu Resort’s restaurants use the fruit in many dishes. The resort’s tea lounge Dolce offers its original menu items highlighting aronia.
