6 recommended deserts – not to be missed while visiting Rusutsu

Rusutsu Resort features numerous restaurants and shops. Here we introduce six of the most delicious sweets/deserts, made with the finest ingredients and a high degree of skill.

1. Hanamori Kuma Cream Puff

Cream puffs are carefully filled by hand while you wait. The puff pastry is made from Hokkaido wheat and freshly baked in our shop.

2. Chocolate chip cookies

A luxurious chocolate chip cookie with low sweetness and rich cocoa flavour. We also offer a vanilla option which is soft and fluffy, with a strong vanilla flavour.

3. Vegan Maritozzi

A delicious vegan-friendly option that does not use any animal products.

In addition to Maritozzi, there are other vegan sweet options on a daily basis. These options have been created by our skilled pastry chef. Please see the vegan symbol to indicate vegan-friendly options.

4. A glass of Hokkaido soft-serve ice cream

The Dolce tea lounge (located next to the hotel reception desk) on the North Wing 2nd floor is recommended for its delicious soft-serve ice cream, which can be enjoyed in the comfort of the restaurant.

Take a break from skiing or snowboarding and enjoy it on the comfortable sofa seats while admiring the snowy scenery.

5. Fluffy Japanese Pancakes

Fluffy Japanese style pancakes made with Rusutsu yam without wheat flour, to create a light fluffy yet fluffy texture. It takes about 20 minutes to create these pancakes once ordered.

6. Afternoon tea set

Enjoy an afternoon tea set at The Westin Rusutsu Resort’s Atrium all-day dining from 14:00 to 17:00 The afternoon tea menu constantly changes with the season and consists of a plate of six dishes, including four daily sweets and two savoury dishes. Choose from a selection of coffee or tea, and refills are free throughout the meal.
