Golf: Orthodox Course and Parkland Golf Course Available
The golf course in Rusutsu is called “Rusutsu Resort Golf 72” and consists of four 18-hole orthodox courses. One of the courses, Izumigawa, opened on April 29, and you can play it during the Golden Week in May.
Guests staying at the hotels and those for day use will need to register at the Owners Shop on the first floor of the Westin Hotel, and then take a shuttle bus from there to the course.。
In addition to the four regular courses, there is parkland golf and a driving range next to the Westin Hotel, which is a great place to start practicing. It is also enjoyable to develop a hobby during your vacation.
Amusement Park: Let Yourself Go with Thrill Attractions
As Hokkaido’s largest amusement park, Rusutsu Amusement Park is a fun place for children and adults alike, with a variety of attractions including “scream”, “thrill”, and “horror” etc..

Rafting: The Joy of Floating in the Shiri-Betsu River
The Shiri-betsu River is a 126-kilometer-long first-class river that has topped the list of the best water quality rivers in Japan for 16 consecutive years. In summer, it is a place where water sports flourish. The river is lined with either villages or farmland, and the more majestic view is Mt.Yotei.
Take a special bus from the resort to the starting point of rafting and experience the ultimate pleasure of river rafting under the careful guidance of a professional guide.
Horseback Riding: Long and Short Riding Course Available
The resort offers a number of options for horseback riding, including short courses within the resort and long-distance route to Lake Toya.
During this year’s Golden Week, a special “Family and Lake Course” is available for a limited time from April 29 to May 5.
Petting Sheep Event: A Limited Event for Golden Week, 3 Days Only!
Between May 3 and 5, a moving sheep square will appear in the amusement park! In this special square, you can pet the sheep! And of course, you can take as many pictures as you want! Interacting with the sheep, animal lovers and photography enthusiasts will surely be healed.
Fishing: 4 Menus to Choose From
Take the Participants to the clear streams inhabited by char, yamame trout and rainbow trout. The guide will explain basic bait fishing method to beginners. For professional anglers, head to the nearby fishing pond.
Fireworks Event: a Grand Lighting Event During Golden Week
From May 3 to 6, a special fireworks event designed for Golden Week will be set off in the sky to the accompaniment of music, and approximately 1,200 fireworks will be set off in the night sky.
Do not forget to watch the fireworks every night from 20:00 – 20:10 during the event.。
Gourmet: Strawberry Fair will be held
From April 29 to May 31, the resort will hold a strawberry fair, where special original menus made from strawberries procured from nearby contracted farmers will serve in the main restaurants. From beverages and desserts to salads and pizzas, the spring specialties will fill the stomachs of everyone who visits.
Access: 90 Minutes from Airport to Resort
There is a non-stop bus from New Chitose Airport to the resort, “BIGRUNS”, which needs to be reserved 7 days in advance. There are four departures a day in summer, with the earliest one departing from the domestic terminal at 10:00 and the latest one departing from the international terminal at 17:20.
There is also a non-stop bus “RusutsuGo” running from Sapporo every day. Reservation must be made at least one day in advance, and the bus is located on the southwest side of Sapporo Station’s South Plaza.
