To reach the extremely cold season, "Hokkaido Seafood Fair" will be held fortwo consecutive months, offering a taste of the luxurious seafood of Hokkaido

Hokkaido is surrounded on all sides by the sea and has been prosperous in fisheries since ancient times. The seafood landed by Hokkaido fishing boats accounts for approximately 1/4 of Japan’s total catch. As the severe cold sets in, fish living in the cold sea naturally firm up, and because of the winter chill and spawning, they store energy as a lot amount of fat. This makes it a delicious season with rich flavors.

To savor the delicious seafood of Hokkaido, we are helding the ‘Hokkaido Seafood Fair’ consecutively for two months. Please enjoy special limited menus featuring abundant delights from the sea, crafted by the skilled chefs of each restaurant.

Eat through Hokkaido food at Oktoberfest

At the popular “Chef’s Kitchen” corner featuring charcoal grilling and teppanyaki with the chef cooking right in front of you, a variety of seafood such as scallops in their shells, snow crabs, turban shells, squid, and more are meticulously grilled over charcoal. They are great as a side dish with rice, or even together as an accompaniment to your drinks. Freshly grilled scallops are excellent. Let’s enjoy the food and support scallop producers while you are in Rusutsu.

 

Counted as one of the world’s three great soups, “Bouillabaisse” is rich with anglerfish, scallops, shrimp, squid, clams, and a seafood broth. Despite its refreshing tomato base, it is equally nutritionally satisfying, standing out among other soups. This dish is highly recommended for relieving travel fatigue or enjoying after activities.

In addition, savor the plump shrimp with chili sauce, creamy pasta with small shrimp, and at the seafood bowl corner, enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast of tuna, salmon, scallops, salmon roe, flying fish roe, and konosirus . Come with an empty stomach and enjoy to your heart’s content.

Indulge in the specialty menu of Izakaya pub “Kakashi”, where you can enjoy the richness of seafood

In December, we are introducing the “Namara Bukkake Don,” featuring scallops, crab, salmon, sea urchin, and topped with salmon roe. The popular seafood items have been made in a hearty and luxurious way to give you a taste of the most popular seafood. When you come to Hokkaido, you can’t miss the seafood bowl.
In January, we plan to introduce “Fried True Haddock,” a low-fat, high-protein white fish with a mild flavor that is easy to enjoy.

 

“Crab Cream Croquette” is a Kakashi original dish. It features a rich cream sauce with plenty of snow crab and Hokkaido corn. The accompanying sauce is also Kakishi’s original one. With an easy-to-eat size and a set of 3, please share with everyone.

At Pub Cricket, where you can enjoy craft beer and grill, burgers are also available

Cricket is a restaurant where you can enjoy craft beer in an open space. With grill, and burgers as their signature dishes, seasonal menus are also available. The “Hokkaido Fried Scallop Burger,” made with fried Hokkaido scallops and topped with plenty of tartar sauce, offers a unique northern burger taste with the rich flavor of scallops spreading in your mouth. And the “Salmon Pate Burger,” featuring finely chopped Hokkaido salmon baked juicy, allows you to savor the deliciousness of salmon in every bite. Feel free to dip it in teriyaki sauce or tartar sauce according to your preference.
